Superheroes Holiday Clubs 2007
Dear all,
We were very excited about the Super Heroes Holiday Club at Trefonen Church (6th-10th August) and Llanymynech (20th- 24th August). We were a bit nervous as to how it would work out but we were pleasantly surprised by the number of children that attended, and kept coming back day after day.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all who came and helped or prayed about the two Holiday Clubs. Without your help none of this would have been possible.
As you can see from the pictures we had fantastic weather which allowed us to be outside for some of the sessions, rather than being stuck in doors all the time. We were able to do loads of games and not be restricted by space. This benefited us all. We did various crafts, worksheets, puzzles, games, banner making and Bible stories.
The Holiday Club was named Super Heroes after the song (God's People are Super Brave Super Heroes). We had themes throughout the weeks from the Old Testament, e.g. Noah, Joseph, Samson and Delilah, David and Goliath and Jonah.
We also made some banners each depicting the Bible Story for that week. These can be seen in some of the photographs. These will also be on show in the appropriate churches.
We had a fantastic group of children and I would like to say thank you to each child and their parents for supporting us and hope that we will see you all next year and that you will tell your friends and bring them along too.
